In de Oekraïense variant van "[Land]'s Got Talent" heeft Село и люди (vrijvertaald door Google als "The village people") toch twee zeer lekkere show neer gezet. Voor het vermaak hier dan de twee YouTube's die dit hebben vastgelegd voor het jonge nageslacht.

Als vervolg op mijn vorige post The Last Cause (sci-fi action drama) kan ik vermelden dat men het minimum gestelde bedrag nu binnen heeft. Nou ja binnen, het is natuurlijk wachten tot de inzamelingsactie afloopt rond 3 uur 's ochtendsvroeg op donderdag 26 mei waarna de pledges pas worden omgezet in een daadwerkelijke betaling. Maar het ziet er naar uit dat het allemaal goed komt.

Wat misschien wel leuk om te vermelden is dat de ontwikkelaar van Cinema 4D, de software die dit project ook gebruikt, een donatie heeft gedaan van $10.000,- wat natuurlijk een zeer goede impuls heeft gegeven. Zie daarvoor onder andere deze link.

2/3 what you've seen in the video was done on a single MacBook Pro - thanks to you we have now the opportunity to work with better tools - so stay tuned, we've a lot to show in the near future:)

Dit is weer een blogpost om een project op Kickstarter aan een breder publiek kenbaar te maken. Voor het het hoe en wat over deze website kan je het beste kijken in de vorige postings op deze blog. Nu gaan we kijken naar het project voor een op te nemen sci-fi action drama film onder de naam "The Last Cause".

De gevraagde $50.000,- wordt dus ingezet om een proof of concept / korte film te maken om dan uiteindelijk (wanneer alles op rolletjes loopt daarna) tot een complete speelfilm te komen. Voor jouw financiële steun kan je natuurlijk wel wat terug verwachten, zoals een filmposter, een dvd/blu-ray van de shortfilm eventueel met de complete speelfilm wanneer deze klaar is.

Het verhaal van "The Last Cause"

Washington DC, 2043. Ten years after a massive terror attack that ended 300.000 human lives. The US became a closed, surveillance state to prevent potential attacks from the outside. People gave up their privacy and identity for more safety and security. The US and the other world powers have heavily upgraded arms. Mistrust and skepticism between the countries have led to a new cold war in which the latest developments in technology are channeled into the development of new weapons.

Mechs - maned robots - and drones comb through the dark, chaotic streets of Washington DC, fighting terror groups, fanatic religious brotherhoods who prophesise the end of the world and normal people who fight for their freedom.

We focus on two main characters, Edwin Jacobs and his younger brother Samuel.

Edwin is the head of Nucleus Inc., the world leader in terms of cloning and biomechanics technology. He followed the footsteps of his father, who was killed in the terror attack 10 years ago. Samuel joined the army years ago, hoping for a chance to avenge his father's death. But his hopes are crushed as he is injured in a mech-fight against resistance forces. In the midst of chaos, a mysterious group appears, claiming responsibility for the terrorist attack 10 years ago, which they named "Day of Admonition". They announce that their next assault will exceed the last one by far. Meanwhile Samuel, maimed and disabled, falls into a deep depression, crippled by his inability to take revenge on the enemy which killed his father.

A young woman appears and offers Samuel her help. She claims to be a member of MOTHER, a shadowy organization that seems to be equipped with incredibly advanced technology. Samuel joins MOTHER and begins training to use their technologies and weapons - huge mechs unlike anything Samuel has seen before. Together with the other pilots, Samuel awaits the war against the enemy who killed so many people and who's motives remain so mysterious. Only their name is known... THE LAST CAUSE.

In the meantime Edwin has his own reasons to investigate what MOTHER is, discovering a connection with his own company. Apparently Nucleus Inc. is only the tip of a hidden pyramid. While Samuel and the other pilots are preparing for war, Edwin immerses himself in espionage and deceit on the trail of an unimaginable conspiracy, and poised to uncover a dark secret...

Om toch nog een beetje meer exposure te geven aan Kickstarter vermeld ik een aantal projecten waar mijn oog is opgevallen nadat deze geannuleerd werd. Het is dit keer voornamelijk muziek met daarnaast een lekkere Beef Jerky erbij:

Madame zamelt geld in voor het van de grond krijgen van haar Beef Jerky wens. Ze maakt deze lekkernij momenteel al, en haar klanten zijn er erg positief over (wie zegt dat nou niet als verkoper van een eigen product....). Ze is nu bezig om een deal te maken om haar Beef Jerky op grotere schaal te produceren en te verpakken voor verkoop, om ze vervolgens in New England, USA aan de man en vrouw te brengen. Als beloning voor je pledge, wanneer de inzameling succesvol verloopt, kan je Beef Jerky en andere producten verwachten.

Voor de liefhebbers. Zamelen geld in om hun album te voltooien. De muziek is af en opgenomen, alleen de druk en pers kosten staan ze nog in de weg. Ook zullen ze het geld gebruiken om een merchandise lijn op te zetten en als er nog wat overblijft hun instrumenten van een update te voorzien.
